Once a year, a joint church service is held between the Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish congregations. This year the service will be held in the Seamen's Church in San Pedro. Keiju Kollektiv will be performing a few pieces in celebration of the gathering.

This is the regular location of Keiju Kollektiv’s rehearsals, and we are pleased to contribute a few songs for the upcoming Centennial celebration. The church was built by Swedish-Americans 100 years ago in Los Angeles, and today the facilities are shared by five congregations: Spanish-, English- and Finnish-speaking Lutheran groups, a Korean Presbyterian body, and a Guatemalan Indian K’anjobal group. The community at and around Angelica Lutheran is vibrant, and we hope to get more involved.

In order to continue providing Nordic music and entertainment to SoCal area communities, we are hosting a gala fundraising event to help support our talented member singers and artist collaborators. Keiju Kollektiv will be performing a number of cuisine and libation related songs, and the audience will enjoy eating and drinking related Nordic treats!

We are hoping to partner with a local area Nordic chef and will hold the event on the beautiful rooftop of Heidi Duckler Dance Studio at the Bendix Building, Downtown Los Angeles.
